Nicole R. Kruger, Psy.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Kruger earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Denver and completed her post‑doctoral training at Children’s Hospital of Minneapolis, where she worked extensively with children, adolescents, and families. She later served in community‑based settings treating individuals of all ages before relocating to St. Louis in 2010, joining Clarkson Counseling shortly thereafter.
Dr. Kruger provides culturally responsive mental health care through a developmental lens. She works with individuals aged 13 to 70, supporting them through life transitions, identity‑related concerns, parenting challenges, relationship issues, and marital stressors. She has significant experience treating mood disorders and helping clients recover from trauma. She has additional clinical interest in reproductive mental health and menopause.
As part of a holistic and wellness-oriented approach, Dr. Kruger collaborates with clients to explore how nutrition, physical activity, sleep habits, and daily routines influence emotional health and overall well‑being. Her therapeutic style integrates multiple evidence‑based modalities, including client centered, cognitive‑behavioral therapies, insight‑oriented and interpersonal, Internal Family Systems, and mindfulness‑based practices.
